About Us


Holly Betz

Holly Betz is a 30 year veteran teacher of the Griffin-Spalding County School System. She grew up in Griffin, GA. and graduated from Griffin High School.  She graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA with a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education. Later in her career, Holly received a Master’s degree in Reading & Literacy from Walden University, and a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University.  She taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades as well as the Early Intervention Program. 

Holly is married to Gary Betz, and they have one daughter, Kelli.  Teaching students is not my job, it’s my passion.  I have a vested interest in our community, and my goal for Brainworks Learning Lab is to assist in making Griffin, a town we can all be proud to call home.

The mission of Brainworks Learning Lab is to bridge the path to student success by providing a friendly, open, and diverse learning community which empowers students and fosters overall success. Using quality instructors, innovative programs, and current technology we will equip students with the skills necessary to succeed academically and accomplish their life's goals.
